The organiser of the International Vocal Competition of Mikuláš Schneider Trnavský prolongs the dead-line for application forms into the competition. The applications can be sent till April 1, 2010
l. Young singers in the17- 35 age group, i.e. born within the years 1975 – 1993, can take part in the competition. The mission of the competition is searching for young talented interpreters of concert vocal art, stimulate their further artistic growth, promote concert vocal works with accent on the artistic activity of Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský and selection of participants for other international singing competititons.
2. The laureates /l. place/ of the international singing competitios within the years 2008 – 2010 are not obliged to take part in the 1st round of the competition, but are allowed to promote directly to the 2nd round while the registration fee remains unchanged. It is required to send the copy of diploma, or confirmation about obtaining such prize, together with the application of admission.
3. The applicants have to fill in an application form and enclose the counterfoil of the cheque (postal-order, Money-order) by which they have paid the registration fee. The registration fee for the participants of I category is 50 EUR, and for the participants of II category is 75 EUR.

4. The competition will be held in two categories:
Ist category has three rounds; the competition repertory is less demanding. Young singers born in years: women: 1986-1993, men: 1984-1993 can enroll in this category.
IInd category has three rounds; the competition repertory is more demanding. Young singers born in years: women: 1978-1993, men: 1975-1991 can enroll in this category.
6. The nominee will specify the song order in every round of the competition by himself.
5. Repertory
7. Transposing of scenas is not allowed. Songs may be interpreted only in the transpositions issued for a competent voice range. The songs of Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský may be transposed only for deep voice ranges, according to the published original.
8. The competitor is not allowed to repeat a song in any round which he has already sung in the competition.
9. The competition repertory must be recited in the original language.
10. All songs must be recited from memory (excluded scenas from oratories, cantatas or masses).
11. Men and women will be evaluated separately in every category. The Jury has right to compound the prizes and divide them to equal shares or not to award some of the prizes (the first prize is packed, it is not allowed to divide it).
12. Decisions of the Jury are definitive.
13. The competition is public and non-anonymous.
14. If a competitor does not have a corepetitor of his own he can ask the Secretariat to arrange a piano accompaniment.
15. The Secretariat of the competition will make the reservation of the hotel accommodation for the competitors and corepetitors if they ask for it.
16. The festive proclamation of the competition results and the prize – giving ceremony will take place at the Final concert of the winners at 6.00 p.m. in the Theatre of Ján Palárik in Trnava on 29th May 2010
17. The competitors agree with the eventual public audio or video recording without any claim to the royalty.
18. Information and eventually music material can be obtained from the organizers of the competition.
